Chancel Sculpture
Christus Magister Mundi

​This sculpture describes Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount
as the Teacher of the World. 

The sculpture is twelve feet in height and weighs nearly 400 pounds. 
It is composed of welded ribbon steel
treated with a rust-controlled oxidation process. 

It was designed and constructed by Ray Steele,
​curator of the Charles M. Russell Gallery in Great Falls, MT.

​​The sculpture cost $4,550 and was dedicated on September 30, 1979.
